4/24/17 – For more than two decades, the annual neighborhood garage sale on the southwest corner of Marshfield City limits has been a popular spot for bargain-hunters. This Marshfield garage sale extravaganza attracts hundreds of visitors every year.
Usually at least 25 homes participate in the sale, which stretches from Balboa Avenue to Lincoln Avenue, including 14th Street, 17th Street, Devine Drive, and other bordering streets. Christ Lutheran Church, on the corner of Lincoln and 14th Street, also hosts their annual “rent-a-booth” rummage sale in conjunction with the neighborhood sale (April 28, 2018; 9-2 p.m.). Pulled pork sandwiches, hot dogs, chips, soda, and snack items are available for concessions at the church, which expects 9-12 booths.
“It’s a great way to take advantage of great deals,” said Lisa Konrardy, one of the event organizers. “You can park your car and walk to all the sales.”
Konrardy, who lives on 14th street and participates in the sale, enjoys meeting new people and finding some great deals.
2018 Times: This year’s sale will take place on Friday, April 27 from 7:00am-5:00pm, and Saturday, April 28 from 8:00am-3:00pm.
After a morning of shopping, stop by Weber’s Ice Cream (across the intersection from Christ Lutheran Church) to enjoy a cone or some cheese curds!
