A MorganStrong benefit is being held December 1 from 3pm – Midnight at the Belvedere Supper Club to help the Gorst family with their medical bills and expenses. The informal event includes raffle baskets, bake sale, food and drinks, face painting, balloon animals, and fun games.
Raffle baskets will suit just about every interest. To better serve attendees, three levels of basket raffles (Regular, Premium and Platinum) are offered in lieu of a silent auction.
“We have had a great response from the community,” said Jeana Bennett, a benefit organizer and family friend. “We are so grateful for all of the donations we have received.”
Some of the great raffles include:
-Bluff Bucks Outfitters 3 day archery hunt

Morgan wrapped up six weeks of radiation every week day and daily chemotherapy for his first round of treatment. “During his four weeks off, we are hoping he’ll regain his strength as he’ll start another 42 day round of chemo in early December,” Bennett said. “Overall, his tolerance of the treatment has gone great, but it was a grueling process both mentally and physically. The week after treatment concluded has been the roughest thus far as the side effects of treatment can last about two weeks.”
Spencer and surrounding communities have offered their support to the Gorst family during this difficult time as Morgan continues treatment, truly embodying the spirit of “MorganStrong.”
“Morgan is very strong and still giving his all,” Bennett said.
