Kathy’s Country Angel Boutique & Gift Shop
Kathy’s Country Angel in Stratford has a little bit of everything. The boutique and gift shop is a treasure trove for finding unique items for practically all occasions and holidays, and also has a coffee bar.
A large variety of home and lawn décor, collectibles, clothes, jewelry, food items and more make up the inventory. Just a small sample of the items Country Angel offers includes candles, baby and wedding items, beer bread, dip and soup mixes, tea, coffee, salsas, dish towels and other kitchenware, lighted canvas prints, and fashionable scarves.

For business owner Kathy, there’s no rush to get customers in and out the door—quite the opposite. “My dream is for people to come in, enjoy themselves, forget their problems for a while and dream a little,” she said.
Before getting into the business, Kathy enjoyed craft items and always liked going to the type of shop she has now operated for nearly twenty years.
“It was always kind of a dream,” she said. The name Country Angel comes from her 
interest in country life and angels.
Seven years after the business started in 1999, an addition was built onto the store to accommodate the coffee bar. Customers can drive through or stop in the store to get their coffee fix via hand-crafted espressos, lattes, mochas, and iced, blended, or hot coffee. There’s also chai, fruit smoothies made with real fruit, and drinks for kids.
Kathy notes that the bar has lots of flavors, so they can accommodate special drink requests too. A variety of large-sized shortbread free of preservatives is also available to accompany the drinks. The coffee bar is open until about half an hour before closing time.
