Mother’s Day may be past, but sons can still treat the special woman in their life to an evening out this Saturday, May 18 from 5:30-9:30 p.m.
The Mother/Son Maui-themed night out will take place on the back patio at Holiday Inn and Convention Center. The ticket price includes a casual buffet, themed cocktails, and a free professional photo as a take-home gift.
“There are things for mothers and daughters but not a lot for mothers and sons. This is just a special evening for them to go out and do something fun,” said organizer Patty Hasenbank.
This is the third year for the mother/son event, open to ages 6 and older. The event is not limited to just mothers and sons, but can be grandmother/grandson, stepmother/stepson, and aunt/nephew. This year proceeds will be donated to Jolene Nowak, who was diagnosed recently with Stage 4 Non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma.
The themed menu includes ham & pineapple kabobs with honey soy glaze, pulled pork sliders with pineapple salsa and slaw, teriyaki beef skewers, chicken jerk tenders, and assorted desserts like “lava bars.”
Tickets can be ordered for $28 up to the day before the event at the Indigo Bloom Skinspa Facebook page, by emailing Patty Hasenbank at [email protected], or eventbrite.com.
