Marshfield Area Community Foundation: Boson Tennis Complex

The Boson Tennis Complex is located to the north of the Marshfield High School. A group of committed community volunteers headed by Ann and Kurt Boson spearheaded the fundraising for this project. The committee was called Marshfield Tennis NOW. It was dedicated to the facility to the school’s tennis enthusiasts and others who helped with the funding. All of the money for this project, $350,000, was raised through private
donations.

The courts are USTA approved and are just like U.S. Open courts. They were dedicated in August of 2006.

Youth and community are benefiting from these new tennis facilities. The high school tennis teams use this court as well as the Marshfield Tennis Association. It is certainly a great addition to the Marshfield community.

The Boson Tennis Courts are another addition to MACF’s long list of contributions to the community, which include Wildwood Station, Everett Roehl Marshfield Public Library, Hackman Field, the Youth Baseball fields, Weber Park, Hamus Park, Hardacre Park, Braem Park Disk Golf, the Skate Park, Tiny Tiger Intergenerational Center, the ACE Academy, Griese Park, and many, many more.

A tax exempt, non-profit organization, MACF uses public support to better connect those with a cause in mind to its completion while taking care of administrative tasks, and continues to establish permanent, named funds for public benefit.
