by Jess Trad – Main Street Conservatory of Dance is hosting their annual “Ballet in the Park” performance on Thursday, August 9th at 6:30 p.m. at Columbia Park. This event is free and open to the public. Featuring students of the Classical Ballet Program’s Summer Performance Intensive, the “Fairy-themed” performance will showcase fairy dances from the Sleeping Beauty Ballet. The fun-filled night also includes the premiere of the 2018-2019 Marshfield Youth Ballet Company’s season.
“The outdoor setting makes this a special, casual performance, where kids can twirl and run in the grass or sit on a blanket and watch. It’s also great way to introduce ballet to people who may not be familiar without having to spend money buying tickets,” said Heather Conrad.
From 6:00-6:30 p.m. (showtime), children will have the opportunity to make a craft and participate in a fairy-themed obstacle course and games.
