Learn About Winter Holidays at Marshfield Public Library
How do other countries around the world celebrate winter holidays? Find out December 10 at “Holidays Around the World.” The Everett Roehl Marshfield Public Library will host Bright Star Touring Theatre for the first time for this live cultural program.
“This production offers individuals a look into the celebrations that occur around the globe during this special time of year,” said Kim Ropson, librarian. “It is something different that takes in many cultures.”
The program follows Nick and Joy as they journey home for the holidays, but end up learning more than they ever imagined. Young attendees will follow them on an educational journey through Kwanzaa, Christmas, and the Festival of Lights, and also the Chinese New Year and the Lohri festival in India.
The program takes place at 1:30 p.m. Free tickets can be picked up anytime at the Children’s Information Desk at the library.
