Book lovers, mark your calendars.
The library’s Twice Sold Tales book sale is returning October 15-19, 9-5 p.m. in the back hallway of the 2nd Street Community Center. Prices are just $1 for ten books. The deal also applies, for the rest of October, to books and DVDs for sale in the library’s bookstore.
Proceeds from the sale benefit the Friends of the Marshfield Public Library. “Everything has to earn its space. If it hasn’t been checked out or if it’s a certain age, we pull them out,” said library director Lori Belongia, adding that there will be a great mix of items.
Friends supports the library in numerous ways through programming and new materials. It has also helped build collections, such as Blu Ray titles. Recently, the organization helped start the new coffee service and sponsored a balloon artist during Hub City Days. “It’s kind of a circle, but it always ends up benefiting the library,” noted Belongia.
The Community Center is located right next to the library at 211 E. Second Street.
