Learn New Things this Fall with Continuing Education

UW-Stevens Point at Marshfield Continuing Education has released its Fall 2019 Catalog and is now accepting registrations for upcoming programs.

Continuing Education offers people of all ages the opportunity to learn a new skill, explore a new hobby, and/or take a trip in a convenient, affordable way.

Travel opportunities include our brand new California Discovery Tour in May 2020, our 39th annual New York Theatre Tour in April 2020 and a day trip to Mead Wildlife Area for a lesson in Birding Oct. 1.

Some new classes/lectures this fall include: Chinese Cooking, Intro to Pickleball, Reenacting WI in Civil War, Fifteen Years Living with Grizzly Bears, Drugs in Central WI, and The Decline of Bricks & Mortar Retails. Returning favorites include: Dinner and a Movie, Ballroom Dance, Babysitter Training and Escape Rooms!

Returning for its second year is the Passion for Adult Learning (PAL) Program. PAL is a membership-based organization for adult learners 55 and up. PAL membership perks includes a free Fall Kick-Off Event, free Winter One-Day Learning Symposium, two free continuing education classes per semester, access the campus library, and pickleball and fitness center memberships.
