Annual Holiday Showcase at Chestnut Center Taking Place This Weekend
If you are looking for something festive to do this weekend checkout the Holiday Showcase at the Chestnut Center for the Arts.
“Holiday Showcase on Chestnut is a festive open-house designed for you to celebrate the season. Whether you’re looking forward to a relaxing afternoon of music, holiday shopping for unique gifts and treasures, or just ‘mingling and jingling’ with friends over hot drinks and cookies, this event promises something for everyone,” said Executive Director Adam Smrcka.
The event, which will be held on Sunday, December 4 from 12 to 4:30 p.m., will include musical performances, unique gifts from local artists and crafters, a silent auction, hot cocoa, coffee and holiday treats.
Not only is this a fun, holiday event for families, it is FREE!
If you are still looking for that perfect gift for someone on your list, this might be the answer.
There will be “an eclectic offering of holiday gift items, including: Jewelry, sculptures, wood carvings, handmade clothing items, specialty chocolate, basketry, handmade soaps, pottery, wreaths and so much more,” Smrcka said.
It’s also a chance to check out the Chestnut Center, 208 S. Chestnut Ave., if you haven’t been there recently.
“The Chestnut Center for the Arts is Marshfield’s nonprofit arts center and our goal is to offer unique programming for the enjoyment of families and individuals in the community. We have a wide variety of programming for all demographics to enjoy. If you haven’t attended Holiday Showcase on Chestnut or if it has been a while since you have visited CCA we welcome you back to celebrate the holiday season,” he said.
While this is the 10th year of the event, the center finds the balance between bringing back some “favorites” while inviting fresh musicians and local artists each year.
“Every year is unique as our performers, vendors and artists bring new and exciting offerings each year,” Smrcka said.
This is one of Smrcka’s favorite events of the year and he is excited that the Chestnut Center can continue to bring it to the community of Marshfield.
“The holidays are a time of peace, love, traditions, family and celebration. CCA brings all of this together by offering an afternoon of celebration Holiday Showcase on Chestnut. We invite you to join the celebration,” he said.
