Easter may be over, but the residents at Wildwood Zoo are still waiting to find their eggs!
Join the zoo on April 27 for Be the Bunny Enrichment Eggs-travaganza, an opportunity to hide Easter eggs inside the exhibits for the animals to locate.
Baskets of goodies for the Kodiak bear, mountain lions, lynx and bobcat are available for purchase at the Marshfield Parks & Recreation Department or online. Individual treats can be purchased at the event also. Animals will begin their egg hunt at 10am.
“All the items in the baskets are basically treats for the animals. For the bears it’s different items of fruit, dog foods, eggs,” said Zookeeper Steve Burns.
A silent auction featuring one-of-a-kind paintings by the animals and gift baskets are available from 9-10 a.m. Proceeds from the event return to the program for next year.
The event is typically well-attended, rain or shine. “Every year we’ve done it we’ve been happy with the turnout,” said Burns.
