Festival Foods Shopping Spree Raises Funds for Women’s Shelter
Ready, set, shop! The Hannah Center is excited to announce a fundraising event sponsored by Festival Foods and Associated Bank. By purchasing a $10 raffle ticket, you will be entered into a drawing to win a 90-second shopping spree at Festival Foods on Monday, September 18th at 7:00 pm.
The Hannah Center is an organization that provides a home to women and children in crisis. There they can be comforted and have basic needs met while moving forward in life. It provides care and support to women when they need it most.
Program Coordinator for The Hannah Center, Tricia Fancher, said that monies raised will go towards upkeep of the aging housing unit and paid help.
“Due to a change in our staffing model, our expenses have increased and we are preparing to meet this need,” she said. “We also are facing home repairs that come along with a 100+ year old house. We have a significant water leak in our basement that is caused by a old foundation and repairs are estimated to cost $20,000.00.”
Festival Foods has a long standing tradition of giving back. When approached with the idea by The Hannah Center board members, they agreed to be the host for a wild 90 seconds.
“Festival has been absolutely wonderful, and they were eager to help as part of their businesses core values is to help the community,” said Fancher.
Tickets can be purchased at The Hannah Center from 9:00 am – 3:30 pm, Monday through Friday or by calling 715-387-6300. There is no limit on the number of tickets sold so buy early and buy often! A booth will also be set up for ticket sales at Maple Fall Fest. All proceeds will go to The Hannah Center to help them support their mission of helping women and children in need in the community.
