Fully Decorated Christmas Trees and Autographed Packer Items Among Auction Items
Join House of the Dove for its annual Festival of Light fundraiser on Thurs. November 30 at Oven Above the Pub in Marshfield.
“Funds raised from this event will directly assist more hospice patients at the House of the Dove, as no one is turned away based on financial need if they qualify for hospice care,” said Deb Hickey, Volunteer/Community Coordinator and Registered Nurse, a position she has held for ten years.
Part of Ascension, the largest nonprofit health system in the United States, the mission of the House of the Dove is to provide compassionate hospice care to patients and their families.
“Rooted in the loving ministry of Jesus as healer, we commit ourselves to serving all persons with special attention to those who are more vulnerable,” said Hickey. “Our Catholic health ministry is dedicated to spiritually-centered, holistic care which sustains and improves the health of individuals and communities. We are advocates for a compassionate and just society through our actions and words.”
The event begins 5:30 p.m with a silent auction, hearty hors d’oeuvres, and a vocal auction at 7 p.m. On the auction block include three, seven-foot themed Christmas trees fully decorated by Schalow’s Nursery, Lasting Impressions and Pat Lindner of Greenwood. Other items include a pendant from Wickersham Jewelry, signed Green Bay Packers memorabilia.
Tickets can be reserved for $50 each by calling House of the Dove at 715-389-0100 by November 24.
“You will not be disappointed,” said Hickey. “It is a great way to bring in the holiday season for a great cause!”
