Festival Foods Gives Back to Marshfield Area United Way

Giving back has long been an important part of the culture at Festival Foods. One of those way is supporting the Marshfield Area United Way, a partnership that goes back three decades.

“One of our Boomerang Basics is making a difference in the community,” said Nic Lotzer, HR Manager. “Because we’re not in business without the support of our community, it makes complete sense to us to give back to them in any form or manner we can.”

New hires are given the opportunity to make easy contributions to the United Way campaign through a payroll deduction. With hundreds of employees at Festival Foods, even a small contribution makes a big difference. Festival Foods also makes a separate donation to the campaign.

“It really supports local families and children in our community,” said Lotzer.

Employees take the time to volunteer for the Nutrition on Weekends program and assemble sack lunches. In just half an hour, volunteers can make almost 90 meals for kids. Guests can easily contribute to the program by dropping off listed food items in a donation box by the front entrance during the school months.

Associates also volunteer for the Supplies 4 Success school supply drive in August, which helps families afford the supplies that kids need to start the academic year, and Rotary Winter Wonderland, whose peanut butter and jelly donations go toward the NOW program.

Starting July 22, Festival Foods will be hosting a company-wide drive for United Way. The Marshfield store will raise funds through a silent auction with employees. United Way T-shirts will be available to purchase by guests at the service counter or a table located near the front of the store.

Festival Foods is open 24/7 at 1613 N Central Ave.
