Exploring Marshfield Painting Parties

The thought of painting (especially picking up that paintbrush in a group full of people) can be intimidating for many, but thanks to the blossoming Wine and Canvas party trend, becoming a painting prodigy has never been easier or more fun. Paired with a glass of wine and a few friends, local painting parties are a great way to relax and exercise creativity.
 
PaintYourPetOn Sunday, April 17 from 1:00-4:00pm, Marshfield Area Pet Shelter with artist Phil Rego will host the first “Paint Your Pet” event in Marshfield. All materials are provided and Rego will have a pre-sketched image of participants’ pets ready for painting. Refreshments will be provided by JJ’s Bakery. The event will take place at Marshfield Mall, at MAPS’ Microchip and Adoption center. Sign up by April 15 on their Website! Cost is $50.00, with proceeds benefiting MAPS.
 
On Wednesday, April 20 at 6:00pm, Blue Heron Brew Pub will host a painting party. $50.00 registration includes two drink tickets and light appetizers, as well as all supplies for the painting. Learn more here and then stop at the Brew Pub (108 W 9th Street) to sign up.
 
On Thursday, April 21, Hotel Marshfield will host “Buzzed Brushes Paint Night” from 6:30-8:30pm. Participants will learn to paint with local artist, Anna G, who will guide on how to recreate an exclusive canvas painting designed for this night only. Reservations must be made by April 14, by calling 715.387.2700. Cost is $40, which includes the canvas, all painting supplies & a complimentary cocktail or drink coupon.
 
On Saturday, April 23, artist Katie Slaby with Classy Canvas (817 S Central Ave Marshfield) is hosting a Painting and Tea Party from 11:30 am – 2:00 pm. The party includes everything needed to paint: A 12×12 canvas, step by step instruction, endless iced passion tea, honey lemon tea, and Earl Grey London fog tea, and hors d’oeuvres.
