McMillan Fire Department features food, games, music and fireworks at their 30th annual Fall Fest. This one day event is being held on Saturday, September 8th from noon to midnight at M400 Elm St, Marshfield. Proceeds will go towards the purchase of new Self Contained Breathing Apparatuses.
Family friendly activities include a kids tent with peddle tractor pulls, a coloring contest and a petting zoo. New to the festivities this year will be a corn hole tournament. The Jerry Schmitt Band plays from 7:30 pm – midnight with a fireworks show at 8:30.
Lorrie Bauer, EMS Coordinator/Captain and first female firefighter for McMillan Township, said this is the only fundraiser the department has each year and people can expect to have a great time. “The highlight of the day for me is to see everyone from the community come out and support the fire department. They can expect good food, lots of activities for the kids, an excellent silent auction, and good entertainment. The fundraiser is very crucial for the fire department because this is the only fundraiser that we have and it help the department purchase needed equipment.”
Raffle tickets for cash prizes are being sold for $10 each through the end of August. 15 winners will be drawn with a grand prize of $1000. The drawing will be held at 10:00 pm and ticket owners need not be present to win. To purchase tickets please contact any McMillan Fire Department member or send an email to [email protected].
