“BBQ on Central” Coming Thursday, May 31
Local downtown businesses are teaming up to bring a special food event on Thursday, May 31, dubbed “BBQ on Central.”
Three food vendors will set up in front of Marshfield Mercantile, Marshfield Chiropractic Therapy and Massage, and Rae Baxter’s as part of a partnership between the businesses to bring something extra downtown just before Dairyfest festivities begin.
“This is a great start to partnership with other businesses as well as exposure for us,” said Carol Knauf, owner of Rae Baxter’s. “We are doing this for our customers to enjoy a wonderful downtown experience.”
“It’s really nice that the other businesses are sharing their sidewalk with us,” said organizer Kelly Stonham, Marshfield Mercantile. “I hope this encourages other businesses to work with each other.”
Emerald Lane Angus will be grilling their sliders and hamburgers, Razor J’s has delicious cheese curds and french fries, and Cob Poppers will have fresh popcorn. Since the event also lines up with Main Street Marshfield program “Your Thursdays,” shoppers can take advantage of special store hours until 7:30 p.m.
The one-time event will run from begins at 4:30. Keep an eye out for special promotions.
