Donate to Help for the Homeless Hygiene Drive through March 8

Marshfield – Buying items like shampoo or toilet paper takes lower priority during a time of crisis when it becomes difficult or impossible to afford them.

The Help for the Homeless Hygiene Drive by the Family Radio Network aims to get essential items into the hands of those who need them most. Through March 8, donations can be dropped off at donation boxes located at Festival Foods, Walgreens, and Century 21 Gold Key Realty.

Festival Foods participates annually in the event and is one of the sponsors for central Wisconsin.

“Helping to build stronger communities is built right into the DNA of Festival Foods,” said Store Director Marty Chy. “Our team is literally made up of people who know they are making a difference with their service and their caring. I am proud to work for a company that places so much emphasis on community involvement.”

Providing the supplies to local organizations helps them direct their limited funds to other essential areas of service. Donations in Marshfield will benefit St. Vincent de Paul Outreach, The Hannah Center, Mary’s Place Boarding House, Shirley’s House of Hope, and PDC Orenda Center.

The most-needed items include laundry soap, kitchen size trash bags, shampoo, cleaning supplies, diapers, toilet paper, and feminine care products.
