Dine Like it’s 1917 at Throwback Street Dinner

North Wood County Historical Society

In downtown Marshfield 102 years ago, a street banquet was held for Company “A”, Second Regiment, Wisconsin National Guard, after they were called for active duty.

The 100th anniversary of the event was celebrated in 2017 with the tables in replica “A” formation, just as they were in 1917.

A Historic Street Banquet will be held for the 3rd year during Hub City Days in downtown Marshfield with a pasta meal by The Rivers. This year’s event also celebrates the American Legion’s 100th anniversary. The dinner begins at 6:30 p.m. with a short presentation by Post 54 at 7 p.m.

Tickets can be pre-ordered on EventBrite at this link. They are also available at the door for $10. Kids 5 and under eat free.

Also on Friday Night, enjoy downtown deals during Mad Market Days from 3-7 p.m. and catch a movie on Central at dusk. Attendees are encouraged to dress up as a Christmas character for the Christmas in July-themed movie. Bring a lawn chair and a blanket.
