Continuing Education Releases Summer 2017 Catalog

The University of Wisconsin-Marshfield/Wood County Office of Continuing Education has released its Summer 2017 Catalog and is now accepting registrations for all summer programs.

Continuing Education offers people of all ages the opportunity to learn a new skill, explore a new hobby, advance his/her career, and take a trip in a convenient and affordable way. The Summer 2017 Catalog contains a wide selection of courses and youth camps, adult courses, and a trip for the whole family.

Our youth programming includes: Summer Theatre Camp (performing Disney’s The Lion King Jr.), several gymnastics classes and camps, and UW Soccer camps (July 10-14). We are also running College for Kids (June 26-29), Art Camp (July 24-27) and UW’s first Girl Power Camp (Aug. 7-10). The goal of Girl Power Camp is to empower girls to try new things, explore potential career paths, partake in team building exercises, make friends and have a blast! Each day includes an inspirational guest speaker, themed project and fun hands-on activities.

This summer’s featured adult courses include Upcycling in which participants will repurpose a desk drawer as a mail holder or hanging shelf. Other adult offerings include Outdoor Photography Practice, Canvas & Corks, Stand Up Paddle Boarding and more!

Our featured summer day trip will visit the NEW Zoo & Packer Hall of Fame in Green Bay on Tuesday, August 8.

For more information on these and other CE courses, be sure to check out the Summer 2017 Catalog. Catalogs will be available at the Office of Continuing Education and various locations around the community including the Everett Roehl Marshfield Public Library and the Chamber of Commerce, and grocery stores.
