Four-Day Camp for Youth Offered at UW
“College 4 Kids” is a four-day camp for youth entering grades 4-7 scheduled for June 26-29 from 1:00 – 4:30 p.m. Each day consists of interactive mini camps with hands-on games, projects and experiments.
Day 1: The Great Outdoors – Hike the trails of the UW Arboretum, examine local pond life, capture and identify insects, devise and complete experiments to learn more about how nature works.
Day 2: Kids in the Kitchen – Learn the basics of cooking and enjoy the end products! The menu includes fruit smoothies, cookies and more.
Day 3: Rocket Revolution – Build a model rocket and then launch it into space. Learn the basics of propulsion and trajectory.
Day 4: Zombie Emergency! – An apocalypse is upon us and the UW is under attack. This fun class focuses on problem-solving and communication to develop an emergency plan of action.
The registration fee of $89.00 includes a model rocket, all other supplies and snacks. To ensure adequate supplies the registration deadline is June 19.
