EXPLORE – The search for Wisconsin’s up and coming superstars continues this summer as Central Wisconsin’s Got Talent returns to Hub City Days in Marshfield.
On Saturday, July 28th beginning at 4:00 pm at the new Wenzel Family Plaza, acts from around the central Wisconsin area will be taking the stage to showcase their talents with the hopes of winning the top prize of $500.
The competition is open to people of all ages displaying any talent (music, dance, juggling, magic, drama, comedy, pet tricks, etc). Acts can be solo or groups. A panel of judges with expertise in various areas will be critiquing each act and determining the winners. Acts are allowed a maximum of 5 minutes to perform.
This year we once again have the chance to send one youth (ages 2-12) and/or one teen (ages 13-18) act on to the state competition at the Wisconsin State Fair in August where they could compete for a grand prize of $4,000.
A sound system is provided but contestants are required to provide their own instruments and/or pre-recorded accompaniment if appropriate for their act. This is NOT a karaoke contest. Lonie G will again be providing both sound technician and emcee services.
CWGT could not happen without our generous donors. This year gold level sponsorship is being provided by Rembs Funeral Home and Crematory in addition to bronze level by Merle Norman & The Day Spa Boutique.
There is no cost to participate or to spectate. Pre-registration is strongly recommended as there are limited time slots available. For more information, contact [email protected].
Come out and enjoy the new plaza AND the entertainment. Bring along some lawn chairs and spend the afternoon with us. And while you’re at it, check out the many activities which are part of Hub City Days.
