Celebrate Official Start of Summer with Downtown Cleanup

Volunteers Needed for Quick Hour of Cleanup

Celebrate the start of summer by helping to spruce up downtown with Marshfield Area United Way on June 21 from 3-4:30 p.m.

“It was originally schedule for Earth Day, but due to poor weather conditions we decided it would be best to change it to the first day of summer,” said Krystal Bowman, Communications Director. “The purpose of the event is for Marshfield residents, the community, to come together and clean-up downtown.”

United Way collaborates with Main Street Marshfield for the event. Participants will meet at Hardacre Park and given a map with routes between Veterans Parkway to 9th Street, then Maple Ave. to Chestnut Ave.

No sign-up is required, but those who plan to attend are encouraged to RSVP on the Facebook event or call the United Way office at 715-384-9992.

Invite friends and wear work gloves for a quick hour of cleaning up streets and alleyways. Kids are also welcome. Snacks and United Way T-shirts are provided.
