National Beer Day Remembers Legalization of Beer in 1933
by Carrie Gillaspie – Beer lovers rejoice! Saturday, April 7th is National Beer Day. What better way to celebrate then by heading to some local Marshfield establishments and enjoying a pint (or two!)? Here’s your guide to some of the best places in Marshfield to grab a beer.
Nutz Deep II
You probably know Nutz is a great place to get a burger, but what you might not know is that they have an amazing selection of beer! What makes Nutz such an ideal place to grab a brew is that they have such a variety on tap. Everything from the classic domestics like Bud Light and Miller Light as well as your favorite Wisconsin standbys like Leinkugel’s and New Glarus. They even 5+ taps that are constantly rotating and featuring some amazing speciality craft beer from all over the country.
Blue Heron Brew Pub
The beer at the Brew Pub doesn’t have to travel far to get to your glass. That’s right, all of the beer on tap at the Brew Pub is brewed in-house! This is definitely the place to take your craft beer loving friend, as they’re sure to find something they like. The Brew Pub has three of their beers on tap year round – Hop Heart IPA, The Honey Blonde, and Tiger’s Eye – and have 10 other beers they make and rotate on tap seasonally.
The Lumberyard Bar & Grill
The pretzel breadsticks and jalapeño cheese sauce aren’t the only reason to head to this Marshfield favorite. The Lumberyard has over 10+ beers on tap at all times. Your standby domestics are always available, and they also rotate out some great craft options from Wisconsin and around the country. They’ve been known to have some of the lesser known New Glarus options on tap (Spotted Cow never gets old, but IPA lovers give the Moon Man a try), and the delicious but hard to find, Wisconsin Amber (brewed by Capital Brewery in Madison, Wisconsin) has also been spotted on tap here from time to time.
