Corn Maze, Wagon Rides, Mums, and More

Usher in fall with the family at Turn Pike Greenhouse’s 3rd Annual Family Fun Fest.

Taking place Saturday, Sept. 14 from 2-7 p.m., with a moonlight corn maze following after, the day includes a great lineup of activities such as wagon rides, a photo booth, petting zoo, crafts, giveaways, and of course, thousands of mums.

“There’s a lot going on. The mum pad is something to see in itself,” said owner Dusty Schlinsog, who along with wife Brenda is celebrating 10 years in business this year.

Little ones will enjoy playing in the corn pit and the bouncy house, for ages 5 and under. There will also be lawn games for kids and barrel wagon rides.

Better Way Designs by Laura Kulp will be set up with beautiful handcrafted items made by women, a portion of the proceeds benefiting Riana Huth of Granton who is battling cancer.
Eagle Feather Artisan will be performing live wood carving demonstrations and have items for sale as well.

Watch for caramel apples and fresh-popped popcorn. There will also be fresh goodies at the Amish bake sale stand. Live music is provided by Christy Anna.

Stick around for giveaways on the hour at 3, 4, and 5 p.m. and choose your pumpkins, gourds, and fall plants. The grand prize is announced at 5 p.m.

Take a turn through the corn maze and discover all of the checkpoints for a small prize. Try it again after dark from 7-9:30 p.m. for a moonlight stroll through the maze. Glow sticks will be provided, but be sure to bring a flashlight.
