Turn Pike Greenhouse Features Mums, Pumpkins, a Corn Maze, and more!
As the countryside is aflame with fall colors and the air is fresh and brisk, now is the ideal time of year to enjoy the peak of autumn. Those seeking their fix of fall mums, pumpkins, and a fun corn maze can travel west of Marshfield to Turn Pike Greenhouse.
Located on Highway H in Granton, Turn Pike has been an ideal Central Wisconsin spot to celebrate fall. Owners Dustin and Brenda Schlinsog have operated the greenhouse for seven years, starting with just spring flowers and expanding into other offerings five years ago.
“Brenda and I have always been into plants. But previously to opening a greenhouse, we milked cows. When we sold the cows in 2009 we decided to open a greenhouse and I guess you could say the rest is history,” said Dustin Schlinsog. “We start with spring flowers, then summer produce, then fall mums and corn maze and pumpkins.”
The couple loves growing things and working with the public.
“Over the years we have learned so much about the business,” said Dustin. “Everything from growing plants to watching for insects to dealing with customers and making sure they have the proper plants for their application.”
Starting with just one greenhouse, the facility has grown to include two greenhouse with a retail area attaching both. There is also a mum pad, pumpkin patch, and corn maze.
“This time of year we offer fall mums, pumpkins and squash. We also have a wonderful fall
corn maze and petting zoo to explore,” said Dustin, who loves growing quality healthy plants and working with customers.
“At Turn Pike, it is our goal to develop lasting relationships with the people that we serve,” he said. “We like to offer quality plants at a great price and make sure that people have the proper plants for their landscaping applications. And we truly love seeing people smile as they walk out the door.”
Turnpike Greenhouse is located on W2760 Highway H, and is open 8:00am-7:00pm Monday through Saturday, and Noon-7:00pm on Sunday. Call 715-238-7111 for more information.
