Fun is in store for kids this Halloween at Festival Foods when popular trick-or-treating event Boofest returns.
The event includes the opportunity to trick-or-treat around the store, test out a photo booth, and pose with Boomer the Turkey.
“This event is held for children 8 and under in our communities to trick-or-treat throughout our store for free,” said Nichole Hovendick, Lead Receiver. “We will have treat bags ready for each child. Dress up in your favorite costume and come have some fun!”
Those with allergies don’t have to miss out. Watch for teal pumpkins at each station for an allergy friendly option.
“The Teal Pumpkin Project is to raise awareness of food allergies for all trick-or-treaters during the Halloween season,” said Hovendick.
Employees get in on the spirit of the occasion to dress up in costume. “Seeing the children smile is what makes this event so impactful,” she said.
Boofest will take place on Saturday, Oct. 26 from 10-2 p.m. at Festival Foods in Marshfield.
