100 Year Anniversary of Historic Marshfield Photo

Photo Will be Commemorated This Summer at Hub City Days

This year marks the 100-year anniversary of this historic Marshfield photo, taken July 23rd, 2017. The photo is of a Street Banquet for Company “A”, Second Regiment, Wisconsin National Guard when the unit was called to active duty.

To celebrate the photo’s 100 Year Anniversary, Main Street Marshfield will be hosting a Spaghetti Feed on the Friday of Hub City Days weekend, July 28th. The Spaghetti Feed will happen right on the street, in the 200 Block. They hope to draw anywhere from 300-400 guests for the event. In addition to lots of spaghetti, there will also be a DJ playing music from the early 1900’s to entertain the dinner guests.

“This event will be a fun way to celebrate our history and kick off Hub City Days! You can be sure there will be photos as well. We would not miss out on the chance to take a 100 year-lapsed replica photo!” stated Executive Director Angie Eloranta.

Tickets are by pre-sale only ($8/adult, $5/veteran, $5/children over age 5) Veterans and their families are invited to begin seating at 6:00pm, with the photo scheduled for 6:30pm.

Eloranta encourage anyone who knows someone in the photo to contact Main Street Marshfield, as they would love to hear the the personal stories. They can be contacted at 715.387.3299.
